Hanover Community Support Services, in conjunction with the Hanover Community Services Board, the Hanover Chamber of Commerce, DARS and other local sponsors, were proud to sponsor and present an employment symposium. Keynote speakers addressed customized and supported employment that matches companies with employees they may not find, or consider fully, on their own. Key points included that a business that seeks disability inclusion and empowers workers at all skill levels strengthens our community and enhances our workplaces. Panelists answered questions and dispelled myths surrounding hiring people with disabilities. Swag bags, admission, and appetizers were free!
The highlight of the evening for HCSS was listening to our own Miss Hanover Abilities, Sarah Chenault, speak on her own employment experience and how winning MHA has helped her confidence grow and improved her interactions with customers! Give a listen to Sarah…she makes our community PROUD!!
